Welcome to InvertMate! By using our app, you agree to these terms. Please read
them carefully. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using InvertMate (“the App”), you agree to be
bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). These Terms constitute a legally binding
agreement between you and the InvertMate team (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

InvertMate is distributed through Apple’s App Store and Google Play. These
Terms apply to both versions. Where a term differs by platform, that is stated
explicitly.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

2. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of
material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date, posting the updated Terms,
and providing an in-app notice for significant changes.

Your continued use of InvertMate after changes are posted constitutes your
acceptance of the updated Terms.

3. Description of Service

InvertMate is a mobile application that helps you manage and track the care of
invertebrate pets. Features include:

Animal profiles and record keeping
Feeding, watering and custom care reminders
Molt, weight and growth tracking
Photo storage and a growth journal
Species care reference library
Species wishlist
Keeper achievements
Data export and backup, transferable between the iOS and Android versions
Premium features through in-app purchase

4. Eligibility

InvertMate requires no account and no sign-in. However, you must:

Be at least 13 years of age to use the App
Have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
If under 18, have permission from a parent or guardian
Comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction

5. Advertising

The free version of InvertMate displays occasional full-screen advertisements
supplied by Google AdMob. By using the free version you agree to the display of
these ads.

Purchasing Premium removes all advertising. If you are in the EEA, UK or
Switzerland, you will be asked for consent to personalised advertising on first
launch, and can change that choice at any time in Settings → Privacy Options.

We do not control the content of individual ads. Ad content is served by Google
and governed by Google’s advertising policies. If you see an ad you believe is
inappropriate, please contact us and we will report it.

6. Premium Features and In-App Purchases

6.1 What Premium Includes

Unlimited animals in your collection (the free version is limited to five)
Insights and care analytics
Growth charts and weight tracking
Data export
Removal of all advertising

Data import is available in the free version, so you are never prevented
from bringing your own records into the App.

6.2 Pricing and Payment

Premium is available as:

Lifetime: a single one-time payment for permanent access
Subscription: recurring access billed monthly or yearly

Availability of individual options may vary by platform and region. All prices
are shown in your local currency in the App Store or Google Play. Prices may
change, but changes do not affect an active subscription until its next
renewal.

Purchases are processed by Apple on iOS and by Google on Android. We
never receive or store your payment details.

6.3 Subscription Terms

If you purchase a subscription:

iOS: payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Subscriptions
renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before
the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your App Store account
settings.
Android: payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Manage or cancel in the
Google Play Store app under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

Cancelling stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the
period already paid for.

Purchases are not transferable between platforms. Premium bought on iOS does
not unlock Premium on Android, or vice versa, because Apple and Google operate
separate billing systems and we have no way to link them. Your data is
transferable between platforms via export and import at no cost.

6.4 Free Trials and Introductory Offers

Where offered, a free trial gives you Premium access for the trial period. You
may cancel at any time during the trial without being charged. If you do not
cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged and your subscription begins.
Trial eligibility is determined by Apple or Google and is generally limited to
one per account per platform.

6.5 Refunds

We cannot issue refunds directly, because we never receive your payment.

iOS: request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Approval is at Apple’s
discretion.
Android: you may be able to request a refund directly in the Google Play
Store within 48 hours of purchase. After that, request through Google Play
support. Approval is at Google’s discretion.

6.6 Right of Withdrawal (EEA, UK and Switzerland)

If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or
Switzerland, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital
content within 14 days. This right may be lost once you begin using the
purchased content, where you have consented to immediate access. Exercise this
right through Apple or Google, whichever processed your purchase.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

6.7 Promotional Offers

We may offer promotional pricing or codes. These are subject to their own terms,
may be limited in duration or availability, cannot be combined unless stated,
and are not transferable or redeemable for cash.

7. Your Content and Data

7.1 Ownership

You retain all rights to everything you create in InvertMate — animal profiles,
photos, notes, logs and any other content.

7.2 Storage

All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not store, collect, or
have access to it. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups, keeping
your device secure, and – on iOS – managing your iCloud sync settings if you use
them. There is no cloud sync on Android; Android data remains on the single
device unless you export it yourself.

7.3 Data Loss

We are not responsible for data loss arising from device failure, accidental
deletion, uninstalling the App, operating system updates, or any other
circumstance beyond our control.

We strongly recommend exporting your data regularly. The export feature
exists precisely so that your records are never trapped in a single device.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree to use InvertMate only for lawful purposes. You must not:

Use the App in any way that violates applicable law
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notice
Use the App to transmit malware or harmful code
Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality
Attempt to circumvent premium feature restrictions, or use modified versions
of the App to obtain Premium without payment
Click your own or others’ advertisements fraudulently, or use any means to
generate invalid ad traffic

9. Intellectual Property

InvertMate and its contents, features and functionality are owned by us and
protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the
App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Photographs and species information included in the App’s reference library
remain the property of their respective owners and are used under licence or
permission where applicable.

10. Species Information Disclaimer

Important: the species care information in InvertMate is for educational and
reference purposes only. It is not professional veterinary advice.

You acknowledge that:

Care information reflects general guidelines and may not suit every individual
animal
You are solely responsible for the health and wellbeing of your invertebrates
You should consult qualified professionals for specific care advice
Care requirements vary with individual circumstances, locality and season
We are not liable for harm to your animals resulting from reliance on
information in the App

Reminders and notifications are a convenience feature and may be delayed or
missed due to device settings, battery optimisation, permission changes, or
operating system behaviour. Do not rely on InvertMate as the sole safeguard for an animal’s welfare.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

11.1 “As Is”

InvertMate is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties
of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy or reliability of
information.

11.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect,
incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages; loss of profits, data or
other intangible losses; damages from your use or inability to use the App;
damages from third-party content or conduct; or harm to your invertebrates based
on information in the App.

Our total liability for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in
the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or
limitation of certain liabilities. Where that is the case, these limitations
apply only to the extent permitted, and your statutory rights are unaffected.

11.3 Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of
defects, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

12. Third-Party Services

InvertMate integrates with:

Your use of these services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for their practices or content.

13. Termination

You may stop using InvertMate at any time by uninstalling it and cancelling any
active subscription.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if we suspect
fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the App. On termination your right to
use the App ceases, and we are not obliged to refund unused subscription
periods. Provisions that by their nature survive termination remain in effect.

If we discontinue the App, we will endeavour to give reasonable notice so that
you can export your data.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless InvertMate, its affiliates, and their
officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages,
losses, costs or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use
or misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms or of any third party’s
rights, or your violation of applicable law.

15. Geographic Restrictions and Animal Ownership

InvertMate is available worldwide through the App Store and Google Play.
Availability of specific features and pricing may vary by region.

You are solely responsible for complying with all laws in your jurisdiction regarding the ownership, keeping, breeding, sale and transport of invertebrates.
Some species are restricted, require permits, or are prohibited in some
countries, states or municipalities. The presence of a species in InvertMate’s
reference library or wishlist is not a statement that keeping it is lawful where
you live.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Morocco, without regard to
conflict of law principles. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you retain
the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection provisions of the law of your
country of residence, and may bring proceedings there.

If you have a dispute, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it
informally. We will make good faith efforts to resolve disputes amicably.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the
remaining provisions continue in full force.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement
between you and InvertMate regarding use of the App.
